Financial Modelling Template

This financial modelling template and suggested ratios provide the basis for measuring the historical financial performance of service providers who operate within the in-home aged care environment. The ratios may be applied to historical financial performance drawing on the organisation’s Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement. They can also be used to measure and assess future financial sustainability by the application of the financial modelling template. The financial reports and ratios can be extrapolated to future months and future years to prepare scenario analysis and test the sustainability of organisations when they implement the in-home aged care reform program. Please refer to the Instructions tab in the modelling template before populating and interpreting data. This modelling template is designed as a guide only for Not for Profit (NFP) service providers currently funded for CHSP services. The financial ratios and associated material are provided for information purposes only and not intended as a subsititute for professional advice. Developed by Malcolm Lewis, LG Consulting Group, in partnership with Grampians Region Sector Development. September 2022.
