Positioning organisations for new environments: A resource for Commonwealth Home Support Programme Service Providers to prepare for in-home aged care reform.

This resource has been developed for Commonwealth Home Support Services (CHSP) to determine their readiness and commence planning for the new in-home aged care program to be implement by the Australian Government from July 2024. It is designed to allows organisations to assess and rate their current state of transition, consider key financial ratio’s, and prioritise actions. This tool supports CHSP providers to develop a clear understanding of the current and future states, and to be proactive to position the service to meet the future landscape. Part A: Overview and Strategic Planning Considerations. Part B: Operational Self Assessment The workbook to undertake a self assessment against the remaining operational domains is under development. It will be finalised and released to the sector in 2023. The resource by no means covers all aspects and recommends organisations engage additional internal or external assistance where further clarification and expertise is required. Developed by Grampians Region Sector Support and Development in partnership with TAG Health. November 2022.
